Helsinki International Film Festival – Love & Anarchy brings together film lovers every year to celebrate fresh, bold, and thought-provoking international cinema. The 38th Love & Anarchy Festival will take place from September 18–28, 2025, and during the event, we will also host the 14th Finnish Film Affair industry event and the 4th Söderlångvik Masterclass.
Finnish Film Affair (FFA), organised alongside the HIFF – Love & Anarchy Festival, is Finland’s largest international film industry event, serving as a key platform for the sales and marketing of Nordic films. The three-day event brings together approximately 500 film industry professionals from around the world, including sales agents, distributors, producers, festival representatives, and the press. The 14th Finnish Film Affair will take place in Helsinki from September 24–26, 2025.
HIFF’s industry events also include the Söderlångvik Masterclass, now in its second year. This inspiring and hands-on three-day retreat is designed for film professionals working in the Nordics and takes place at the Söderlångvik summer residence of Konstsamfundet’s founder and film enthusiast Amos Anderson, located on the scenic Kimito Island in September 2025.

Please note that since the primary language of our industry events, FFA and Söderlångvik Masterclass, is English, you can apply for these roles in English, and knowledge of Finnish is not required for these positions. In addition, the roles of Production Coordinator and Production Intern on the festival side do not require knowledge of Finnish.
The positions are based in Helsinki, and as collaboration is at the heart of our festival, we mainly work at our office on Bulevardi. Remote work is possible to a limited extent. During the festival, evening and weekend work will also be required.

Production Coordinator (R&A)
The Production Coordinator is involved in planning and executing festival events, particularly side events, ensuring their practical implementation. This includes organising discussions, clubs, guest events, and collaboration events with partners. The role also involves overseeing venue setup and breakdown, assisting in accreditation, and supporting the children’s program during the festival. The position requires initiative, flexibility, stress tolerance, and organisational skills. Prior experience in cultural events and/or production is preferred.
This position runs from July 15 to October 10 (approx. 3 months) with a salary of €2300/month.

Customer Service Manager (R&A)
Responsible for managing customer service arrangements before and during the festival, handling inquiries via email and phone, and overseeing ticket sales and customer service teams. The role requires experience in customer service and/or ticket sales, multitasking ability, initiative, flexibility, and stress tolerance. Fluency in Finnish and English is essential. Experience with the ticket sales platform Eventio is considered an asset.
The position runs from August 15 to September 30 (approx. 1.5 months) with a salary of €2000/month.

Production Intern (R&A)
Supports the festival’s production team with organising tasks, data collection, file maintenance, communication with various parties, and daily office duties such as procurement and financial administration. Experience from the cultural field or event production is an asset.
The internship runs from August 1 to October 8 (approx. 2 months) with an internship-level compensation of €1430/month. You must have an internship subsidy available from your educational facility to apply for this position.

Communications Intern (R&A)
Focused on collecting festival film data, images, and promotional material, assisting in updating the festival’s website, and supporting the communication and marketing team. Strong written and spoken Finnish and English skills are required, along with experience in WordPress and image editing.
The internship runs from August 1 to October 8 (approx. 2 months) with an internship-level compensation of €1430/month. We require that the intern has access to an internship subsidy from their educational institution.

Communications and Marketing Intern (R&A)
Assists in coordinating marketing materials, target marketing, content creation for social media, and supporting the communications and marketing team. Fluency in Finnish and English is required, along with creativity, organisational skills, and flexibility. Visual skills and experience with video editing are an advantage.

FFA Production Coordinator
The FFA Production Coordinator’s tasks include the overall coordination of the event, covering the practicalities of the showcase day and panels as well as the coordination of FFA’s other events and key moments such as the opening screening, side events, partner events, coffee breaks and receptions. The production coordinator also shares responsibility for managing volunteers alongside the production intern and oversees potential market screenings. The production coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the event website and updating production-related information alongside the communications manager. They manage the delegate list and coordinate project applications together with the Head of Industry Operations. Additionally, they handle the ordering of promotional materials. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Experience in event production is considered an asset.
The employment period is 1.5.-31.10. (start date is flexible) and lasts approximately six months in total. Working hours are 100% from 1.5.-30.9., and 80% thereafter. The offered salary is 2,300€ per month.

FFA Production Intern
The FFA production intern assists in the production of side events such as the F-Weird Party, opening and closing receptions, and matchmaking sessions. They also support guest production when needed. Additionally, their responsibilities include coordinating volunteers and ensuring the smooth operation of the info desk. The role requires strong organizational and teamwork skills, a proactive attitude, and flexibility. Previous experience in event production is considered an asset.

Industry Communications Intern
The FFA Communications Intern supports the Industry team with communication tasks for both Finnish Film Affair (FFA) and the Söderlångvik Masterclass. Main responsibilities include assisting with social media production (text proofreading and editing, creating visual content in Canva, as well as participating in both in FFA and Söderlångvik to ensure social media coverage). In addition, the Communications Intern assists with general communication tasks, supported by the Industry Communications Manager.
The role requires fluency in English (the main language of our industry events), experience using Canva, a creative mindset and a proactive attitude to bring ideas forward.
The internship takes place from 1.8.-5.10., lasting approximately two months in total. We require that the intern has access to an internship subsidy from their educational institution. The position includes an internship-level compensation of 1,430€ per month.

Söderlångvik Masterclass Coordinator
The role of the Söderlångvik Masterclass Coordinator includes the overall coordination of the masterclass, covering pre-production, participant selection, on-scene logistics of the weekend at Kimito Island, and the Behind the Scenes film screening in Helsinki. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining communication with the masterclass leader, participants, and partners, updating the website, coordinating logistics, and conducting a post-event feedback survey.
Please note that once the masterclass dates are confirmed in September, the coordinator must commit to being on-site for the masterclass weekend on Kimito Island.
The employment period runs from 1.6.-5.10., lasting approximately four months in total. A valid B-level driver’s license is required for this role. Working hours are 100%, and the offered salary is €2,300 per month.
