World famous Danish actor Trine Dyrholm's Masterclass event delves into the art of acting through Dyrholm's wide-ranging career.
Award-winning Danish actress Trine Dyrholm will guide the audience into the intricacies of acting and the world of cinema in her Masterclass lecture. On either side of the Masterclass event, two recent films starring Dyrholm will be screened: the beautifully perceptive portrayal of a breakup Beginnings (2025) and the critically acclaimed hospital drama Second Victims (2024).
Trine Dyrholm has been described as one of the finest and most versatile actresses in the Nordic countries, with an extensive career spanning numerous films, television series, and theatre productions. She is known, among other things, for recent award-winning festival hits The Girl with a Needle (2024) and Queen of Hearts (2019). The Danish actress is also remembered for her breakthrough role in Festen (1998), the classic film by Thomas Vinterberg, the opera adaptation of which is currently being performed in Helsinki.
In the Masterclass, Dyrholm will lead the audience through the craft of acting and the processes behind filmmaking. The session offers engaging themes from the perspectives of both film audiences and creators. The event will be moderated by film journalist Marta Balaga, and its duration is approximately one hour. Admission to the Masterclass is included with a ticket to either of the films.
