R&A Talks x Uusi Juttu: Live-Kerma
Uusi Juttu is back with their beloved cultural program Kerma! This time, seasoned journalists Sonja Saarikoski, Hilla Körkkö and Olli Seuri will discuss the themes of the film Solomamma. The discussion is in Finnish.
This free-of-charge event takes place in the cinema before the screening of Solomamma. Tickets to the film are sold separately on the film’s page.
“Kerma” is Uusi Juttu’s wildly popular cultural show, in which reporters Sonja Saarikoski, Hilla Körkkö, Vaula Helin, and Oskari Onninen discuss, debate, and talk over one another about current cultural topics.
At the end of the show, each panelist also gets a little time to themselves, during which they can rant about a topic that’s close to their heart.
Kerma airs on Wednesdays on Uusi Juttu, but from time to time, Kerma comes down to earth among mere mortals in the form of live performances. That’s when you should be there. The first-ever live Kerma took place at Love & Anarchy in 2025.
Here’s how Sonja Saarikoski describes the thrill of a live show:
“I think live performances reveal what’s best about Kerma: anything can happen. We don’t know how the other person will react or what they’re going to say. You just have to trust that the situation will work out and that your own arguments will hold up. They don’t always hold up. But that’s part of the game. I believe that live Kerma episodes help us make better programming. The response from the audience is so immediate.
In this live episode of Kerma, Sonja Saarikoski, Hilla Körkkö and guest debater and editor-in-chief Olli Seuri will take the stage.
Find yourself better company and come experience the excitement of Kerma in person at Love & Anarchy!
