Adam, the son of a fisherman, is accepted to the prestigious Al-Azhar University in Cairo. Shortly after his arrival, the Grand Imam dies, and Adam is drawn into a dangerous conflict between Egypt’s religious and political elite in the succession of the new Grand Imam.

Tawfeek Barhom portrays Adam as a humble and principled young man, whose innocence and sense of duty make him the perfect pawn in the power struggle, alongside Fares Fares as the disheveled but formidable NSA Colonel Ibrahim, ultimately responsible for dragging Adam into the ruthless game. Tarik Saleh’s Boy from Heaven is a masterful political thriller that exposes the fragile balance between belief and authority.
