The Life of Chuck
Based on a Stephen King novella, Tom Hiddleston captivates in this beautiful drama that forms a puzzle-like portrait of one man's life.
The internet has stopped working. Parts of North America are chipping away and sinking into the depths of the sea. Hospitals are overcrowded and nurses are leaving their jobs.
This is only the beginning – it seems like the end of the world is coming. In the midst of chaos, a peculiar detail catches the eye: billboards everywhere saying thank you to Chuck for the last 39 years. But no one seems to know who Chuck is or what he has done to deserve such a significant tribute. As the last stars in the sky go dark, we go back in time and get to know Chuck (Tom Hiddleston).
The movie is based on a novella by Stephen King and has strong genre elements, but at its core it’s a hearwarming story about time, dreams, the creation of worlds, and death. Tom Hiddleston’s remarkable dance scene in itself makes the movie worth watching. The Life of Chuck is a reminder about the the finite nature of life and that you should always dance like there’s no tomorrow!
