During the festival, tickets can be purchased at the Festival Center, which is located on the 2nd floor of Bio Rex (Mannerheimintie 22–24, Lasipalatsi). The Festival Centre is open daily from 10am till 9pm.

You may also buy your screening tickets at the festival cinemas on the screening days. You can find the screening days below. Ticket sales open one hour before the first screening of the day.

FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS

You can claim tickets with the festival pass online or at the festival box offices, excluding Kino Tapiola. Unfortunately the festival pass does not work to films showing in Riviera.

Please claim your screening tickets before the start of the screening.

At the online shop, enter the code of the festival pass to the assigned field. At the ticket sales counter, let the cashier know you wish to use the festival pass for the tickets.

Festival passes are not personal and can be shared with other people.

You are not required to use the festival pass at once. It is valid until all tickets in the pass are used or until Sunday, September 29th. Unused festival passes are not refunded.

The festival pass is not valid for sold out or special priced screenings.

FESTIVAL CENTRE Sept 19. - Sept 29.

The Festival Centre is located on the 2nd floor of Bio Rex (Mannerheimintie 22–24). At the Festival Centre, you can get to know the programme and relax between screenings. The Festival Centre at Bio Rex is open daily from 10am till 9pm.

ONLINE

Tickets can be purchased through Finnish online bank transfers (Nordea, Osuuspankki, Danske Bank, Aktia, Säästöpankki, POP pankki, S-pankki, Handelsbank and Ålandsbank) or with most debit and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, DinersClub, American Express).

A handling fee of 0,80 € is charged per online purchase. You may choose either a PDF-ticket or you may pick up your ticket from any festival theatre.

 

FESTIVAL BOX OFFICE

We accept cash, most debit and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard), ApplePay and culture vouchers (Smartum Saldo-card, Edenred Virike-card, ePass as well as Smartum, Edenred and Tyky vouchers).

 

Additionally, you may buy your screening tickets with the festival pass and complimentary tickets, both online and at the festival box offices (excluding Kino Tapiola). Claim your ticket online by entering the festival passes/complimentary tickets code to the assigned field.

MERCHANDISE

The festival catalogue is sold from 5th of September onwards at Kino Engel, Kino Regina and at the Akateeminen bookstore (Pohjoisesplanadi 39). The festival catalogue, t-shirts and festival bags can be purchased from 12th to 18th of September at R&A ticket sales point (Paasikivi Square, Kamppi).

Merchandise is also sold at the Festival Centre (Bio Rex,  Mannerheimintie 22–24) during the festival.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY AND TICKETS

Wheelchair seats are available for purchase online or at the festival box offices (excluding Kinopalatsi 2). Free tickets for personal assistants can be requested by emailing liput@hiff.fi, or by visiting the box office. Please note that if a screening is sold-out, accommodation for personal assistants is not guaranteed. Please make your reservation in advance to ensure a ticket for your personal assistant.

 

ACCESSIBLE THEATRES

Bio Rex: 4 wheelchair seats
You will find the elevator at the Amos Rex museum shop, which shares the entrance to Bio Rex. At the 2nd floor, before the theatre, there is a small doorstep. If the museum is closed, call 040 334 5617 for assistance.

Finnkino Itis 5: 2 wheelchair seats
Theatre is accessible with a wheelchair.

Kino Engel 1, 2 and Kesäkino Engel: 1 wheelchair seat per screen
Please ask the staff for assistance in using the elevators.

Kino Regina: 2 wheelchair seats
Kino Regina is wheelchair accessible from Oodi library’s ground floor, north entrance.

Kino Tapiola: several wheelchair seats
Theatre is wheelchair accessible.

Kinopalatsi 5, 9 and 10: 1 wheelchair seat per screen
Kinopalatsi has elevators, which you may access through the entrance at Mikonkatu. Please ask the Kinopalatsi staff for assistance if needed.

Korjaamo Kino / Elokuvasali: 2 wheelchair seats
Entry with a ramp. Please ask the staff for assistance.

Korjaamo Kino / Kulmasali: 2 wheelchair seats
Kulmasali is wheelchair accessible.

Maxim 1 and 2: 2 wheelchair seats per screen.
A stairlift is available, however it is only usable with a non motorised wheelchair. Ask staff for further assistance. Unfortunately the bar/shop is not wheelchair accessible.

Orion: 2 wheelchair seats
Please contact Orion: info(a)cinemaorion.fi, when arriving with a wheelchair. Unfortunately the restrooms are not wheelchair accessible.

Riviera: 1 wheelchair seat
Theatre is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair seat is at seat H1-4.

Savoy theatre: 4 wheelchair seats
The main entrance is equipped with a wheelchair ramp. There are several wheelchair seats and an accessible toilet in the foyer near the cloakroom. Further details are available on the Savoy Theatre website

Tennispalatsi 3: 2 wheelchair seats
Accessible with an elevator, please ask Tennispalatsi or R&A staff for assistance.

WHS Teatteri Union: 1 wheelchair seat
Theatre is wheelchair accessible.

UNACCESSIBLE BY WHEELCHAIR 

Kinopalatsi 2: Unfortunately, Kinopalatsi 2 is currently not wheelchair accessible.
Wheelchair tickets are not sold for Kinopalatsi 2 screenings.

GOOD TO KNOW

Screening tickets do not have assigned seat numbers.

Doors open 5–10 minutes before the beginning of a screening.

All films have age limitations; this information can be found on each film’s page.

Tickets to sold-out screenings may become available 30 minutes before the screening from the guest quota. If these tickets become available, they can be purchased online and at the festival box offices.

The festival will not compensate a purchased ticket, unless an error has resulted because of the festival. The festival does not exchange or compensate tickets.

Helsinki International Film Festival reserves the right to possible changes. Information about changes in the programme will be announced on the website.
