The magic of film returns to the cinemas!

In addition to the online screenings that are available across Finland, Season Film Festival brings a small but amazing selection of films to the cinemas of Helsinki 5.-9.5.

Catch fresh Oscar winners such as MINARI, PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN as well as THE RIDER, the breathtaking breakthrough film of director Chloé Zhao, who made Oscar history last night. DC fans are treated to Patty Jenkins’ anticipated superhero blast WONDER WOMAN 1984, which finally gets its Finnish cinematic premiere. Kate Winslet, another Oscar-winning actor shines as the lead of emotional AMMONITE alongside superstar Saoirse Ronan. The French drama TWO OF US tells the charming and captivating love story of two older women, the same erotic tremble between two women is present in Josephine Decker’s author-story SHIRLEY as well. The thriller is also a part of the online screening programme available across Finland. The Cinema screenings are topped off with wonderful short films about motherhood in WONDER MOMS -short story screening, presenting six stories about marvelous, horrible, wise and neurotic mothers and their joys and sorrows.

Happy Bubble screenings are held in Finnkino’s Tennispalatsi, Cinema Orion, Bio Rex and Kino-K13 in Katajanokka from Wednesday 5.5. to Sunday 9.5. Happy Bubble screenings are organised safely within the Covid-19 regulations as private screenings for a maximum of six (6) people.
