This year’s Season Film Festival is postponed due to the ongoing restrictions on public events. The festival was to be held in late March, but is now postponed to Autumn 2020. Purchased tickets will be refunded.

Season Film Festival will not be held on March 26-29 as planned. The purpose of the restriction, given by the Regional State Administrative Agency, is to prevent the coronavirus (Covid-19) from spreading further.

Helsinki International Film Festival – Love & Anarchy Association, the organiser of Season FF, is currently looking at the different ways of organising Season FF in the Autumn of 2020.

-In this situation, our first priority as festival organisers is the health and wellbeing of our audience. It is a great shame that our programme’s amazing films will not be seen by the audience at this point, however, we are doing everything we can to screen these films later in the year. We want to send our thanks and support to the health care professionals now working in Finland and around the world. We also want to express our solidarity and best wishes to our colleagues in the film and culture industry, which is being shook by the cancellations caused by the coronavirus, says Anna Möttölä, the CEO of the HIFF.

Customers who have purchased tickets to Season Film festival will be refunded, more information on and directions can be found here:
