Nordic Flair is the training initiative of Finnish Film Affair, offering career development opportunities for Nordic talent, and this year we are delighted to announce that the theme of the Nordic Flair training is Nordic actors in 2023. The aim of the 3-day workshop (20-22.9.2023) is to provide more tools for Nordic actors to build international careers, by providing help with self-tapes and CV:s as well as opportunities for international networking with leading casting directors and agents. All selected participants can also attend Finnish Film Affair’s wider programme.

The Nordic Flair training programme will take 20 active participants from Nordic countries and an additional 10 observer participants from Finland who can attend the workshops as listeners. Applications for participants from Finland are now open until Wednesday 16 August 2023 (23:59, UTC +3). 

The Nordic Flair programme is supported by the Finnish Film Foundation and Nordisk Film & TV Fond. The content partner is Ilmaisuverstas ry.  The programme is also based on results identified in a thesis on the topic, written by Elina Hakala (Humanities University of Applied Sciences) for HIFF after the previous Nordic Flair actors’ training.
