THE NORDIC COUNCIL FILM PRIZE 2018 has been awarded to director Benedikt Erlingsson, scriptwriter Benedikt Erlingsson & Ólafur Egill Egilsson and producers Marianne Slot, Benedikt Erlingsson and Carine Leblanc from Iceland for WOMAN AT WAR.

The highly acclaimed film WOMAN AT WAR received Tuesday night (30.10.) in the Nordic Council Film Prize 2018, one of Northern Europe’s most coveted film awards. Benedikt Erlingsson’s film had its world premiere at the Critics’ Week at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018 where it won the SACD Award for Best Screenplay.

This was the 15. time that the Nordic Council Film Prize was awarded. The prize administered by Nordisk Film & TV Fond on behalf of the Nordic Council of Ministers is worth DKK 350,000, and shared between the film’s director, screenwriter, and producer.

All the Nordic Council Film Prize nominees were presented at the HIFF’s programme this year. Benedik Erlingsson also attended the festival to present his latest film WOMAN AT WAR.
