For the first time Norway has won the prestigious Nordic Council Film Prize with the film LOUDER THAN BOMBS. The prize was announced and awarded to director-screenwriter Joachim Trier, screenwriter Eskil Vogt and producer Thomas Robsahm at the DR Concert Hall in Copenhagen on 1 November.
All the Nordic Council Film Prize nominees were presented at the HIFF’s programme this year and Louder Than Bombs was the Opening Gala film of the 28th edition of the Helsinki International Film Festival in September 2015.
This was the thirteenth time that the Nordic Council Film Prize was awarded. The prize is worth DKK 350,000, which is shared between the film’s director, screenwriter, and producer. The Nordic Council Film Prize is administered by Nordisk Film & TV Fond on behalf of the Nordic Council of Ministers. More information about the prize here.
