The best films of Nordic countries are back at HIFF! Five nominees of the Nordic Council Film Prize 2015 will be screened in the programme of our 28th edition!

The nominees are:

Gentlemen (Sweden, dir. Michael Marcimain)

They Have Escaped (Finland, dir. J-P Valkeapää)

Out of Nature (Norway, dir. Ole Glæver)

Silent Heart (Denmark, dir. Bille August)

Virgin Mountain (Iceland, dir. Dagur Kári)

The winner of the Nordic Council Film Prize will be announced 27 October at a ceremony in Reykjavik. The 47 000 € prize is splitted between the producer, the director and the screenwriter of the film.

Last year’s prize was given to Iceland’s nominee, director Benedikt Erlingsson’s Of Horses and Men.
