Three new European guests have been confirmed to HIFF. Tim Fehlbaum, the German director of the post-apocalyptic survival thriller HELL, will be present at the screenings of his film. HELL won the best film award at Fantasporto Film Festival and was awarded in Germany at the Sitges festival and with a New Faces Award. Tim Fehlbaum in Helsinki 23rd-25th September.

Goran Jevtic is one of the lead actors of the award winning Serbian black comedy THE PARADE. Jevtic is a graduate of the University of Arts in Belgrade. In THE PARADE he plays the role of Mirko, whose attempts to organize a Pride parade have failed year after year. The film laughs in the face of nationalism and has been a huge hit in the Balkan countries. Goran Jevtic in Helsinki 22nd-24th September.

Spanish director Jorge Coira arrives to Helsinki to introduce his debut feature film 18 MEALS. The film takes a look at relationships around a dinner table and suitably it is seen as a part of HIFF’s new Haute Cuisine concept. Coira will take part in the 18 MEALS Film and Dinner evening organized together with Restaurant Sunn. Jorge Coira in Helsinki 27th-30th September.
