Finnish director Jukka Vidgren’s short film Dr. Professor’s Thesis of Evil has been accepted into the selection of the LA Shorts Fest, held in Los Angeles from September 6th to 13th, 2012. Screened at HIFF last year, Dr. Professor’s Thesis of Evil is the only Nordic film selected for the festival this year. The film is a production of Oulu-based Mutant Koala Pictures.
The LA Shorts Fest is one of the largest short film festivals in the world, and films selected into its programme are entitled to Academy Award nominations. 12 films screened at the festival have won an Academy Award and 41 have been nominated for one.
Dr. Professor’s Thesis of Evil is a story of the most successful super villain of his time. In a time when super villains are more celebrated than heroes, doing evil has become a huge business.
The film, distributed mainly online by Shorts International, is available at the iTunes store.
