Screenwriter Paul Laverty and director Icíar Bollaín visited HIFF last autumn with their film Even the Rain. This year, Laverty has once again teamed up with master director Ken Loach. Laverty and Loach’s new comedy, the whisky scented Cannes hit The Angels’ Share has been confirmed as part of the HIFF 2012 programme. Loach and Laverty have made 10 films together, including Carla’s Song, My Name is Joe and Looking for Eric.

Icíar Bollaín’s new film Kathmandu Lullaby will be pre-screened at Kesäkino Engel from August 3rd to 9th. Beautiful leading actress Veronica Echegui will present the film to the audience at Kesäkino Engel on Friday August 3rd at 10.30pm. Tickets for this screening can be bought at the Kino Engel box office from August 27th (no reservations). The premier of Kathmandu Lullaby is on August 10th.

Bollaín’s films have won a whopping 10 Goya awards and several prizes at the Cannes and Berlin festivals. Further information about the film can be found on distributor Cinema Mondo’s website.
