Wheelchair seats are available for purchase online or at the festival box offices to all accessible theatres. Free tickets for personal assistants can be redeemed at our online shop or by visiting the box offices. Please note that if a screening is sold out, seats for personal assistants are not guaranteed.

Bio Rex
Entrance
The accessible entrance to Bio Rex is not from the main entrance, but from the other side of the building, from the Lasipalatsi Square. The accessible entrance is at street level and is located at Lasipalatsin aukio, Helsinki. The sign on the door of the accessible entrance reads Amos Rex. The accessible entrance is open during the museum’s opening hours. The doors of the accessible entrance have an electronic door opening system. The door opening button is located on the left side of the door on the wall. There is a difference in level at the door opening button, which can make it difficult to use the button. There is a canopy in front of the accessible entrance where you can wait for the taxi service to arrive.
When the museum is closed, the accessible entrance is through the door of the Ravintola Lasipalatsi. It is also located at Lasipalatsi Square, Helsinki. The door says Ravintola Lasipalatsi. There is a sign next to the door with the staff’s phone number if you need the accessible entrance. The door does not have an opening button and is slightly heavy. There is a sign next to the door with the staff’s phone number if you need help opening the door.There is a canopy in front of the barrier-free entrance to await the arrival of the taxi service.

Navigating Indoors
The accessible entrance leads to the Amos Rex museum lobby and gift shop, located on the first floor. The Bio Rex foyer and auditorium are located on the second floor, which can be accessed using the elevators in the museum gift shop. These are found at the end of the hallway to the right. When arriving to the second floor, the foyer leading to the auditorium is located on the left. The entrance to the foyer has a doorstep that is 2,5 centimetres high. The entrances to the auditorium are located at both ends of the foyer. The auditorium has space for 4 wheelchairs. These spaces are located on the platform near both entrances, so there are two wheelchair spaces in total per platform. The theatre does not have an induction loop.

Accessible toilets
The visitors may use the accessible toilets of the museum during its opening hours. To get to the accessible toilets, you need to use an elevator. The toilets are in the lobby of the museum’s exhibition room located on the first floor. Upon arriving to the lobby the accessible toilets are located on the farmost side on the right, past the cloakroom. The toilet doors are not electrically operated, but they are light and easy to use. The accessible toilets have 80 centimetres of space on both sides of the toilet seat. There is also space on the back of the seat for assistance (Picture no.3). The toilet doors have horizontal pullers. t At other times an accessible toilet can be found in Lasipalatsi restaurant, located on the same floor as the foyer and the auditorium. This can be accessed using a ramp leading to the restaurant. The accessible toilets here are located on the right side of the stairway landing. The doors here are not electrically operated but are light and easy to use. The toilet has 80 centimetres of space to move around on the both sides of the seat. There is no space for assistance on the back of the seat.

Kino Maxim
Entrance
The entrance to Kino Maxim is located in Kluuvikatu 1. Kluuvikatu is a pedestrian street.
The entrance doors are manual and a little heavy to open. At the door there is a 3 cm threshold. Also the doors of the vestibule are manual and heavy.

Interior spaces and routes
Tickets can be purchased in the lobby from the counters, which are 140 cm high. The payment terminals are fixed and can’t be moved.
There are two movie theatres in use in Kino Maxim. The Theatre 2 is located downstairs and Theatre 1 upstairs. Accessible routes to both rooms are through a staircase lift.
The upstairs’ Theatre 1 wheelchair place is located on the first row. There is no accessible route to the upper level of the theatre.
The downstairs Theatre 2 wheelchair seat is located in the upper balcony of the room. The balcony is accessible from the landing between the first and second floors, which can be accessed by a stairlift. There are no significant thresholds at the doors to the theatres.
The staff will operate the staircase lift throughout its use.

The Maxim shop is located on the 2nd floor of the theatre and is not accessible. Kino Maxim doesn’t have a movable payment terminal so the shop services are not accessible without an assistant.

Accessible toilet
The accessible toilet at Kino Maxim is located on the landing in the staircase next to the entrance to theatre 2. The landing is accessed by a stair lift.
Savoy teatteri
Entrance
The main entrance of Savoy Theatre is accessible. It’s address is Kasarmikatu 46, Helsinki The entrance isn’t at street level. The accessible route is on the left side of the stairs, where you can find a short ramp. The ramp does not have hand railings, and is steeper than the recommended inclination. (see picture no.1) There is a shelter in front of the entrance, which you can use to wait for transportation. The accessible entrance is not electrically operated, and is heavy to open.

Navigating Indoors
The accessible entrance leads to the first floor lobby of Savoy Theatre. The auditorium in Savoy Theatre is located on the second floor. The accessible entrance to the auditorium is opposite to the entrance, using a ramp. The ramp is steeper than the regulated recommendations. If needed, the staff can assist with opening the door at the end of the ramp. The auditorium has two wheelchair spaces located the opposite of the entrance at the ends of rows 1–6. There is and induction loop in the auditorium, but no coverage mapping. The cloak room is located on the left side of the lobby.

Savoy Theatre’s accessible toilets can be found to the left from the entrance, on the opposite side of the cloak room. The toilet door is not electrically operated, but is easy to use. The toilet has 80 centimetres of space to move around on the both sides of the seat. There is no space for assistance on the back of the seat. Kino Regina
Entrance
Kino Regina is located in Oodi, the Helsinki Central Library. All the entrances are accessible, have no doorsteps, and are equipped with electrical doors and sound beacons. The entrances are located in Kansalaistori Square, on Eero Erkon katu and Töölönlahdenkatu. While the library is closed, the door in Töölönlahdenkatu will be available.

Navigating Indoors
Kino Regina is located on the first floor of Oodi. Passage to the auditorium is along the wide corridors. When entering from Kansalaistori, the way to the theatre is to the left past the cafe, until the ticket counter and the entrance are visible. The accessible route to the theatre is marked with tactile guidance path strips. The ticket counter is 90 centimetres high. The auditorium has two spaces for wheelchairs. These are located in the each side of the front row. There is also a fair amount of space in front of the seats, in which wheelchair users also may be positioned. The auditorium has an induction loop. In the passage where the ticket counter is, there is a coverage map for the induction loop, which informs that the front and back rows are outside of its coverage.

Accessible toilets
The accessible toilets in Oodi are located on the floor K, which is accessed with an elevator in between the cafeteria and Kino Regina. There are trash cans under the elevator buttons. The floor K has three accessible toilets. Each bathroom has a horizontal grab bar. The rooms also have plenty of room to move in. The support handles next to the toilet seat are attached to the wall (see picture no.6). Kino Regina also has its own accessible toilet, which is located in a recess next to the ticket counter. The door does not have a sign for an accessible toilet space. The door is locked and can be opened for customers only by staff members (See picture no.7) The support handles are attached to the wall. The space has some extra equipment around, making the space more cramped. Furthermore, the left side of the seat has less than 80 centimetres of free space.
Cinema Orion
Entrance
There are stairs in the main entrance of Cinema Orion – a more accessible entrance is through staircase D, which is on the right side of the main entrance looking from the street. The door of the staircase is locked and a staff member will open it upon request. There is a step in the entrance, which is 7 cm in height on the left side and 5 cm on the right. The entrance door doesn’t have an electronic opening system and it is heavy to use.
Cinema Orion wishes that they are notified in advance to the ticket office info@cinemaorion.fi or 050 475 7572 (the phone number only works during the theatre’s opening hours), when arriving with an assistive device, so they can reserve enough staff to ensure fluent service.

Interior spaces and routes
From the entrance door D you arrive in a staircase at the end of which there is a passage to the movie theatre. The accessible route to the movie theatre is possible with the help of a movable ramp. The ramp is 70 cm wide. The ramp does not meet accessibility recommendations and is steeper than recommended, and it is not safe to use without assistance. The wheelchair accessible places are right in front when arriving at the theatre. The route to the wheelchair places is via movable ramp. The ramp is 72 cm wide. The ramp is steeper than the accessibility recommendations require.
There are two wheelchair places located at the back of the movie theatre.
There is no induction loop in the movie theatre.
The ticket- and other services of Cinema Orion are located in the main lobby, which has no accessible entrance. The service point has no induction loop.

The entrance for Kino Engel is located at Sofiankatu 4. Sofiankatu is covered in cobblestone, but the sidewalk is covered in asphalt. The theatre entrance is shared with Sofia Helsinki. From the street, the door on the right is electrically operated. The door switch is located at an appropriate height at a corner on the right side of the door. The entrance does not have a doorstep and is even. Escort transportation can stop on the street in front of the entrance.

Navigating Indoors
Past the entrance, head to the elevator located on the right side of the lobby. The elevator leads to the floor -1, where the ticket counter is located. To use the elevator, a staff member needs to be present. The staff should be contacted beforehand through e-mail or by calling. The staff contact information can be found on the Kino Engel website, under the section ”Meistä”. The ticket counter is 110 centimetres high. The ancillary services can be easily accessed. The toilet is located on the same floor.

Kino Engel has two screening auditoriums, each having their own accessible paths. Auditorium 2 is accessed using the same elevator that is used to access the ticket counter. Auditorium 2 Is located on floor -2. Staff assistance is needed for using the elevator. The auditorium has a space for a single wheelchair, located in the left edge of the first row.

The accessible path to Auditorium 1 is on the outside of the theatre, at Sofiankatu 4. The detour always requires a staff member to assist with the doors and the elevator. After entering the gateway, there is a small hill on which there is a door to the right. The door is also used to access restaurantVia Tribunali. Next to the accessible toilet in the restaurant there is an elevator, which goes to floor -1. Upon exiting the elevator, there is a slight decline before getting to a flat surface. The door on the left opens to Auditorium 1. The auditorium has one space for a wheelchair, which is located at the right side of the first row

Kino Engel also has an outside screening area, which is located at Cafe Engels’ inner yard. The yard is accessed from the street, and all the seats are moveable, so accessible seating can be arranged if needed. The floor in the yard is made of cobblestone, and is somewhat uneven.

The accessible toilet in Kino Engel is located in the floor -1, which is accessed with the elevator in the lobby. The toilet is marked with a symbol of a wheelchair on the door. The toilet is located near to the elevator. The sink and the toilet bowl are both accessible. There is 80 centimetres of space on the both sides of the toilet, And the back side has space for assisting. The handles are connected to the seat of the toilet. The door has a horizontal grab rail.

Kinopalatsi
Entrance
The main entrance to Kinopalatsi is located on the street level in Kaisaniemenkatu 2. The main door is manually operated and heavy to use. Also the door to the vestibule is manual and heavy. The entrance has thresholds but on the right side they are under 2 cm in height.
The other entrance is located in the University of Helsinki metro station’s, in Mikonkatu side exit hallway (In the level of the metro). There are elevators on both sides of the stairs to Kinopalatsi. When going to the Kinopalatsi shop it’s recommended to use the passenger elevator on the left side of the stairs (the shop is located on level K1). Access to the street level (theatre 2 and Oscar’s bar) is through the elevator on the right side of the stairs. Both entrances are accessible, but we recommend the Mikonkatu entrance especially when arriving by vehicle.

Interior space and routes
The interior spaces of Kinopalatsi are accessible and there are no thresholds inside. There are multiple elevators to travel between floors. If you arrive in Kinopalatsi from the street level main entrance, you need to use a lifting platform to access the actual ground floor level.
The Kinopalatsi shop is is located on floor K1. The floor is accessible either by elevator straight from Mikonkatu entrance, or by going from the main entrance through the 3rd floor, taking an elevator to the metro level (floor 2) and then taking the passenger elevator to the shop floor. The same lift is used to move to floors K2 and K3. The service counter of the shop is 100cm high and the operating level of the payment terminal is 115 cm. There is no induction loop in the shop.

All movie theatres are accessible. The entrance to theatre 2 is through a 110 cm wide ramp. Theatre 2 has to be accessed through a detour from the main entrance level next to the main doors. To use the accessible route, you need a staff member to open the doors when entering the theatre 2, but it’s possible to leave the theatre independently after the screening. Accessible toilet
There are two accessible toilets in Kinopalatsi. One is located at the metro floor level next to theatres 3 and 4, and the other next to the Kinopalatsi shop on floor K1, close to the elevators.
The doors of both toilets are locked and staff members are needed to open them. For the metro level toilet, the staff can be requested by pressing the button (at 160 cm height) next to the door of theatre 4 or by calling the phone number written next to the toilet’s door.
In both toilets the toilet seat is located so that at least on one side there is the required 80 cm space. There is space behind both toilet seats for assisting.

Riviera Kallio
Entrance
The entrance to Riviera is accessible and it is located on the street level in Harjukatu 2. The main door is open during the opening hours of the theatre.

From the entrance you arrive in the restaurant, through which you enter the movie theatre. In the movie theatre, there can be up to four wheelchair seats on row G. There is no induction loop in the movie theatre. Riviera’s ticket- and other services are located in the restaurant space and inside the movie theatre. The counter inside the movie theatre is accessible. The service point doesn’t have an induction loop. Riviera wishes that they are notified in advance when arriving with an assistive device, and if there’s a need for an assistant’s ticket, so that the seating can be arranged accordingly before the screening.

There is one accessible toilet in Riviera. It has a 5,5cm threshold in the entrance door.

Tennispalatsi
Entrance
The main entrance into Tennispalatsi is located on Salomonkatu, which is a pedestrian area. The main door on the left is marked with a wheelchair symbol for accessible passage. The door is manually operated and somewhat heavy to operate. The entrance does not have a doorstep. You can also find an accessible entrance to Tennispalatsi on Jaakonkatu, which crosses Salomonkatu. These doors are heavy to use. The Jaakonkatu entrance doesn’t have a doorstep. On top of the Salomonkatu entrance there is a shelter, which can be used to wait for transportation.

Navigating Indoors
The main entrance on Salomonkatu leads to the floor L, which currently functions mainly as a lounge. The ticket sales and ancillary services are on the 1st floor. To get to the 1st floor you either need to use the stairs, the elevator, or the entrance outside on Jaakonkatu. Auditoriums 6-14 are also located on the 1st floor. Auditorium 3 is on the 1st floor as well, but the accessible route there is through a detour.
Auditorium 2 is located on the 2nd floor. The Auditoriums 4 and 5 as well as the ISENSE-auditorium are on the 3rd floor. Getting to the third floor requires using an elevator. The use of these elevators does not require assistance from staff members. The accessible entrance to Auditorium 3 is on the floor K, and requires detouring. The use of the elevator requires assistance and escorting from the staff. The accessible route to Auditoriums 6-14 requires using a ramp located behind the pick n’ mix candy shelf on the 1st floor. At the beginning of the ramp there is a button to call staff to open the gate and to escort you to the wanted auditorium.

Each auditorium in Tennispalatsi has two spaces for wheelchairs, except for the ISENSE-auditorium, which has four. All wheelchair spaces are on the ends of every first seat row, Except for Auditorium 2, in which the spaces are on the right side of the last row. The staff will escort the visitor to the correct spot from the ticket counter. Two wheelchair spaces together No auditoriums in Tennispalatsi have induction loops.

The shop sells tickets and accessories. The shop desk is 90 centimetres high. The payment terminals can be lowered down to the height of 95 centimetres. The shop has three self-service checkouts. The leftmost checkout has a recess under the table and free space for knees making the check out more accessible to use. The check out interface is located at 150 centimetres. The terminal cannot be lowered, and is located at 125 centimetres.
Accessible toilets
The only accessible toilet in Tennispalatsi is located on the second floor. The door is locked and a staff member is needed to open it. The door is marked with a wheelchair symbol on the outside, under which there’s a button that can be used to call staff for help. The button is located 110 centimetres high. Up from the button are instructions for its use, and a phone number to alternatively call staff to help. The door for the toilet is heavy to open. The support rails at the sides of the seat are attached to the seat. The room has enough space to move around freely, but the left side may be challenging to access because of the proximity of the sink. The sink is large but the faucet is short, and it is challenging to reach.

Tripla Bio Rex
Entrance
Bio Rex Tripla is located on the fifth floor of the mall of Tripla. Its address is Fredrikanterassi 1. The accessible route to Bio Rex Tripla is on the fourth floor (Little Manhattan), using the elevators behind the clothing store Kekäle.
Navigating Indoors
The elevator arrives to the elevator lobby. The theatres’ auditoriums 4 and 5 are located to the right and left from the elevators. Auditoriums 4 and 5 both have three spaces for wheelchairs, which are at floor level on the front row. The auditoriums do not have an induction loop.

WHS Teatteri Union
Entrance
Teatteri Union is located in Siltavuorenranta 18. The main entrance has a large step that can be crossed with a separate ramp. The staff will place the ramp when necessary. When exiting, the door has a 4,5 cm threshold.

After the main entrance there is an accessible entry to the movie theatre, accessible toilet and to other services. There is one wheelchair seat in the theatre, which is located in the middle of the back row. The movie theatre doesn’t have an induction loop.

There is a shelter in front of the entrance, which can be used to wait for transportation. The door for the accessible entrance is not electrically operated, and is heavy to use.

The accessible entrance to the theatre leads to the cafe in the main lobby. The auditorium is located on the first floor. The accessible way to the auditorium goes past the glass door in the back of the cafe, and then to the right. The auditorium has a doorstep that is 2,5 centimetres high. The auditorium has two wheelchair spaces in total, at both ends of the first row. The inclination of the floor at these spaces is steeper than is recommended for accessibility. The auditorium does have an induction loop, but no map for coverage. The coverage for the loop has not been tested.
Kino Tapiola cafe service desk is 93 centimetres high. The service desk does not have an induction loop.
